The RACI method is used in project management and release management to identify who should be responsible for performing a specific task. It stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed. This document aims to ensure everyone understands what their role is, so there are no surprises or questions when it comes time to execute.

The RACI matrix has four quadrants:

• Activities with a single owner
• Activities where more than one person owns it, but only one person can do it at any given time.
• Activities where there may be multiple owners who could perform them simultaneously
• Areas that require input from other teams or groups outside of the project team
